On July 2, Sichuan Province and Nepal's Province No.5 signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish friendly provincial ties. Yin Li, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee and Governor of Sichuan Province, and Pokharel, member of the Standing Committee of the Unified Communist Party of Nepal and Chief Minister of Province No. 5, were representatives of the two sides.
Under the agreement, the two provinces will actively promote mutual exchanges and cooperation in economic and trade, infrastructure construction, agriculture, education, people-to-people bonds, tourism and other fields, strengthen friendly government-to-government and people-to-people exchanges, advancemutualcommunication in information and implement the practicable cooperation projects.
Before signing, Governor Yin Li met Chief Minister Pokharel and his delegation. According to the two sides, they will take the signing of the MoU as an opportunity to further consolidate the long-standing traditional friendship between the two provinces, deepen all-round and multi-field exchanges and cooperation, and realize mutually beneficial and win-win development.
Adhikari, member of the Standing Committee of the Unified Communist Party of Nepal, Narulal Chaudhary, Mayor of Ghorahi, Li Yunze, Deputy Governor of Sichuan Province and Zhang Yan, Secretary-General of Sichuan Provincial People's Government attended the meeting and signing ceremony.
