On June 30, State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Sichuan Province held the commencement ceremony for Key Projects of State-owned Enterprises of Sichuan Province for the Second Quarter of 2019 and the Construction Project of Airport Supporting Roads in Chengdu Tianfu International Airport New City by Sichuan Provincial Investment Group Co., Ltd. A total of RMB 67 billion is planned to be invested in 14 new projects, covering transportation, tourism and culture, ecology and environmental protection.
The focus of the commencement ceremony was the Construction Project of Airport Supporting Roads in Chengdu Tianfu International Airport New City by Sichuan Provincial Investment Group Co., Ltd., with a total investment of RMB 3.115 billion. This project includes two sub-projects. One is the Access Road Construction Project in the North of the Airport (Logistics Areas), and the other is the Access Road and Utility Tunnel Engineering Project along the South Extension Line of Dongyi Line. The construction period is expected to be three years. Other projects include the Chengdu-Mianyang Highway Expansion Project, Mianyang-Cangxi Highway Project and Cangxi-Bazhong Highway Project undertaken by Sichuan Transportation Investment Group Co., Ltd., Five-star Hotel Project in Panzhihua by Sichuan Railway Industry Investment Group Co. Ltd., Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Project of Urban Sewage Treatment in Suining by Sichuan Energy Industry Investment Group Co., Ltd., and Passenger Transit Accommodation and Cargo Area Project of Chengdu Tianfu International Airport by Sichuan Airport Group Co., Ltd.
Since the beginning of this year, provincial state-owned enterprises have given full play to their role as the main force in project construction and accelerated the construction of key projects. This year, 126 key projects are planned to be implemented, with annual planned investment exceeding RMB 100 billion. By the end of May, an investment of RMB 20.7 billion has been made and four projects were completed.
