The Chinese Materials Conference 2019 sponsored by Chinese Materials Research Society, and co-organized by Sichuan Provincial Economic and Information Department was unveiled in Chengdu, Sichuan on July 11, 2019. More than 20 academicians at home and abroad, and over 8,000 delegates from domestic and foreign well-known new materials research institutes and enterprises convened at the event to display and exchange new R&D and application achievements made in the sphere of advanced materials, as well as seek new industrial development.

　　Combining both academic exchanges and display and demonstration, Chinese Materials Conference is committed to building a communication platform for domestic experts, scholars, government administrations and entrepreneurs who have been engaging in new materials. So far, over 20 sessions of Chinese Materials Conference have been successfully held.

　　The 5-day Chinese Materials Conference 2019 has arranged the Main Forum and 44 Parallel Sessions, which focus on domains like energy materials, eco-materials, structural materials, functional materials and material design to conduct exchanges. The Display and Demonstration Area has zoned nine exhibition areas to respectively cover special metal functional materials, high-end metal structural materials, advanced high polymer materials, new inorganic nonmetallic materials, high performance fiber and composite materials, metallic electronic materials and cutting-edge new materials. More than 300 enterprises at home and abroad have been attracted to the venue covering 10,000 square meters for exhibition.

　　Last year, Sichuan Province registered a year-on-year growth of 16.3% on the operating revenue of advanced materials industry.  This year, 140 advanced materials projects have been launched among 500 key industrial & technical innovation ones throughout the province, involving a total investment of RMB 347.3 billion. As of now, 83 parks in Sichuan Province have developed the advanced materials as their dominant industry.
