On May 11th, Mr. Yin Li, Vice Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee of the CPC and Governor of the People’s Government of Sichuan Province, met with the academicians of the National Academy of Engineering and the Turing Award winner Mr. Raj Reddy in Chengdu, Sichuan, who will attend the 2019 first Tianfu Big Data and Digital Economy Development Forum.

　　Mr. Yin Li welcomed academicians from all over the world to attend the forum and introduced the development condition of Sichuan's economy, society and key industries. He said that in recent years, Sichuan's economic and social development has enjoyed steady progress, and the role of science and technology has become increasingly important. The Sichuan Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government have attached great importance to the development of big data and digital economy with a good foundation. We warmly welcome domestic and foreign academicians to Sichuan for closer exchanges and cooperation with relevant parties in Sichuan, and jointly explore scientific methods of modern information technology to gather data, garner information, and form new knowledge to better serve economicand social development.

　　Academicians such as Mr. Raj Reddy said that in recent years, China and Sichuan have made remarkable achievements providing them with comparative advantages in the development of big data and digital economy in the future. They look forward to closer cooperation with Sichuan in the fields of artificial intelligence development, smart city and transportation construction.
