April 22nd marks the 50th World Earth Day. On the same day, the first Park City Forum was held in Chengdu. With the theme of “Park City•The City of the Future – The Theoretical Study and Path Exploration of Park City”, this forum brings together experts and scholars from relevant fields at home and abroad to discuss, summarize and abstractdevelopment theories and practical experiences that can be promoted nationwidewith great significance.

　　In February 2018, during his inspection to Sichuan, General Secretary Xi Jinping clearly stated that "the characteristics of park city should be highlighted and the ecological value should be taken into consideration." The forum invited leaders of relevant national ministries and commissions, representatives of UN-HABITAT project, representatives of well-known cities at home and abroad, park city construction, park urban planning and design representatives and more than 300 guests to hold an in-depth exchangeof the theoretical framework and method path of park cities.

　　The event was carried out in 1 main forum and 4 parallel sub-forums.

　　At the main forum, three academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and one UN-HABITAT representative gave keynote speeches in terms of planning and construction, ecological environment, social economy and from the perspective of the United Nations. In the four parallel sub-forums, many well-known experts from home and abroad conducted in-depth discussions on the above related topics.

　　At the same time, the forum read the Park City Chengdu Consensus 2019, and the guests present discussed and reached a consensus on 10 aspects including exploring the sustainable development path of the new era and paying attention to the principle of ecology first and green development concept. It also announced the publication of a monograph Park City - The Theoretical Exploration for a New Model of Urban Construction, which elaborated the latest research results from eight aspects. At the forum, 10 major project signing ceremony was held, with a total amount of 84.43 billion yuan.

　　Mr. Ni Hong, Deputy Director of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, Mr. Fan Ruiping, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Chengdu Municipal Committee, Mr. Yang Xingping, Vice Governor of People’s Government of Sichuan Province, and Ernst Wooler, President of the Vienna State Assembly of Austria, attended the main forum and delivered speeches.
