On March 18th, Mr. Yin Li, Vice Secretary of Sichuan Provincial Committee of the CPC, Governor of People’s Government of Sichuan Province, presided over the 24th executive meeting of the provincial government to conveythe important instructions of the National People's Congress and the Chinese Political Consultative Conference, to study and implement the notice of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on solving the outstanding problem of formalism to ease theburden at grassroots levels, and to promotethe key tasks of high-quality development, cultural tourism economic development and implementation of the accountability system for food security governors in Tianfu New District.
At the meeting, it was emphasized that the governments at all levels should act in accordance with the requirements for the expansion of the Standing Committee of Sichuan Provincial Party Committee so as to get a clear picture for the full implementation of the spirits of the National People's Congress and the Chinese Political Consultative Conference and the important instructions of General Secretary. It urged usto pay close attention to the implementation of various tasks to promote the economic and social development of Sichuan. It is necessary for us to grasp the overall requirements, policy orientations, and tasks of the Report on the Work of the Government issued by the State Council. We should thus combine the work priorities determined by the two provincial conferenceswith the realities ofour local departments to further refine the work plans around major policies and projects, divide specific tasks into various parts, optimize the promotion measures,and promote the implementation of the decisions of the central and provincial committees.
At the meeting, the governments at all levels were urged to take targeted measures to streamline the documents by a large amount in order to reduce the number of documents. We shouldcut redundant meetings and shorten the time to make sure that the meetings held are in our interests. We should improve various inspection, field researches, andassessment activities, in a way that do not interfere with the normal functioning of grassroots departments. We are to guarantee that the burdenshave been eased in an efficient way and forebode no rebound. It is necessary for us to inspire the vast number of cadres to maintain their inspiring and energetic state, speed up their transformation of conducts, and obtain the courage to take on responsibilities.That is how they can continue torefresh the situations for all work, and make greater contributions to the governance and prosperity of Sichuan Province.
At the meeting,the Sichuan Province 2019Work Plan for the Implementation of the Accountability Systemof Food Security Governor was passed, which clarified 22 key tasks from six aspects including grain production, grain quality, circulation supervision, inventory system, market mechanism and industrial development. In the meeting, it was stressed that departments across the province should take the supply-sidestructural reform of agriculture as the main thread and the assessment of the accountability system of the food security governor as the starting point to accelerate the construction of amore efficientfood security systemwith a higherlevel and quality.
Other matters were also studied at the meeting.
