On November 6, "China-Europe Trade Link", the country's first single document multimodal transport cross-border block chain platform, was officially released at the 2nd China International Import Expo (CIIE). The platform was developed by Sichuan Branch of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, marking a big step forward in the integration of Chengdu-Europe Express Rail logistics and financial services.

　　Since the launch of the "China-Europe Trade Link" on October 20, several enterprises have already linked up nearly 100 transactions and successfully "collided" the data with multiple overseas institutions such as ICBC Abu Dhabi, Warsaw and Tokyo, involving a value equivalent to nearly 100 million yuan. Four parallel-import cars purchased by Nanchong Capital Port Co., Ltd. from UAE were transported to Chengdu's Qingbaijiang via sea-rail intermodal transportation. The biggest difference that distinguishes the import of this order with the previous ones is that this order has been included in the platform of "China-Europe Trade Link", and that paper documents were replaced with electronic certificates which no longer need to be mailed, noted Pu Junfeng, Chairman of Nanchong Capital Port Co., Ltd.; rail-sea intermodal transportation can be financed by bills of lading to solve the financing problem for enterprises. 

　　Through process reengineering and system innovation, Sichuan Pilot Free Trade Zone has endowed the property right attribute of "single document", and the reform results have been included in the list of results of the 2nd Belt and Road??Forum for??International??Cooperation. However, the issuance of the "single document" is of the offline mode, and the slow circulation of documents and the difficulty of integrating with trade financing are the main pain points and barriers.

　　On the basis of "single document" and with the support of Sichuan Provincial Government, People's Bank of China, Department of Commerce of Sichuan Province and other departments, ICBC creatively uses the block chain technology to launch the "China-Europe Trade Link" platform, which realizes the whole process monitoring of the cross-border supply chain by connecting multiple data such as logistics, banks and enterprises, thus effectively promoting inclusive finance and international trade along the line.
