Mr. Yin Li and His Delegation Paid Exchange Visits to South Korea

  From September 1st to 4th local time, Mr. Yin Li, Vice Secretary of Sichuan Provincial Committee of the CPC, Governor of Sichuan Provincial People’s Government, and his delegation paid exchange visits to South Korea.

  Mr. Yin Li met with Mr. Yang Seungjo, Governor of South Chungcheong Province, South Korea, and signed the Agreement on the Establishment of Friendly Provincial Relations between Sichuan Province of the People's Republic of China and South Chungcheong Province of the Republic of Korea. Mr. Yin Li said that he hopes the establishment of a friendly provincial relationship would serve as a new starting point to strengthen the ties between local governments, relevant departments and enterprises in the fields of industry, agriculture, trade, science and technology, culture, education, sports, health and talents, enabling the conduct of various forms of exchanges and cooperation in these fields, which will secure common prosperity and development, and contribute to the healthy and stable development of China-Korea relations. Mr. Yang Seungjo welcomed Mr. Yin Li and his delegation to visit South Chungcheong Province. He hoped to build a platform based on the resource advantages of the two places to improve mechanisms, strengthen policy integration, promote originality and substantive exchanges, and achieve win-win cooperation.

  During the visit, Mr. Yin Li met with Mr. Kim Yoo-chul, President of Korea International Trade Association, Mr. Park Keun-Tae, Global President of CJ Group, Mr. Seol Young-heung, Permanent Consultant of Hyundai Motor Group, Mr. Lee Hyuk-jae, CEO of Saier Group, Mr. Kwon Pyeong-woo, President of Korea Trade Promotion Agency, Mr. No Je-hyeon, Dean of the Korean China Cultural Center, Mr. lee Gang-hsing, Vice President of the Korea Investment Finance Holding Group, Mr. Lee Kwang-hyok, Senior Director of Global Public Affairs of Samsung Electronics, and Mr. Jo Jae-yien, Director of Strategy Department of Doosan Group, and attended China Sichuan (Seoul) Economic and Trade Promotion Conference, and attended the South Chungcheong Province SMEs and Auto Parts Enterprises Promotion Conference. Mr. Yin Li said during the promotion conference that this year marks the 40th anniversary of China's reform and opening up and Chinese President Xi Jinping announced at the Boao Forum for Asia the major measures to further expand China's opening-up and expressed willingness and determination to deepen cooperation. At present, Sichuan is implementing in-depth Xi Jinping's thoughts on a new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics, carrying out the strategic deployment for opening-up, and promoting high-quality development of its economy. We welcome more Korean companies to invest in Sichuan, and support Sichuan enterprises to explore markets in South Korea to deepen cooperation in electronic information and intelligent manufacturing, expand cooperation in emerging industries and modern cultural industries, and develop international standards and explore international markets. Further exchanges and discussions will continue to open up new space for cooperation on the two sides. Representatives from relevant Korean institutions and enterprises said that they are optimistic about Sichuan's huge development potential and are willing to work with Sichuan to create a better future. The Sichuan Provincial Energy Investment Group, Chengdu and Ziyang City have signed project cooperation agreements with relevant Korean institutions and enterprises.

  Mr. Yin Li also met with officials of the Chinese Embassy in South Korea. The Consul General of South Korea in Chengdu, Mr. Jang Je-hak, accompanied him on relevant activities.
