On September 18th, Mr. Yin Li, Vice Secretary of Sichuan Provincial Committee of the CPC, Governor of People’s Government of Sichuan Province, met with Mr. Cisneros, governor of Saint Elena Province of Ecuador, and his delegations in Chengdu who have come to Sichuan to attend the 17th Western China International Fair.

　　Mr. Yin Li welcomed and thanked Mr. Cisneros on behalf of the provincial government for leading the delegation to the 17th Western China International Fair. He said that although Sichuan and Saint Elena are far away in distance, the economic and trade exchanges between the two sides are getting closer and closer. He hoped that with the help of the Western China International Fair, enterprises and tourists from both sides would pay more exchange visits to the other. As such, we could continue to break new ground in cooperation methods, enrich its content, and implement such projects to further enhance our friendship and promote common development.

　　Mr. Cisneros said that the rapid development of Sichuan in recent years has impressed him. He hoped that the both sides could work together to promote exchanges and cooperation in the fields of agriculture, tourism and bamboo resources development, and to enhance the friendship between the two provinces.

　　Mr. Tang Limin, Secretary-General of People’s Government of Sichuan Province, and other officials attended the meeting.
