On May 17th, the reporter learned from Sichuan Provincial Taiwan Affairs Office that a “Youth Employment and Entrepreneurship Base across the Taiwan Strait” was approved to be established in the AsiaStars Youth Entrepreneurship Park in Jingrong Town, Pidu District, Chengdu. This is the second base after one in Deyang.

　　It has been learnt that the newly established 22 youth employment and entrepreneurship bases and demonstration sites across the Taiwan Straits, including the newly established one, have been extensively selected by the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council and are set up in 15 provinces and cities such as Tianjin, Shanghai, and Sichuan to provide services including exchanges, training, internships, employment and entrepreneurship to create a better environment for development for young people in Taiwan to the mainland . At present, the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council has awarded 75 cross-strait youth employment and business bases and demonstration sites.

　　Since the opening of the Park in May 2017, it has built an entrepreneurial space of 10,000 square meters which can accommodate 1,500 entrepreneurial young people. As of May this year, it has received more than 1,000 Taiwanese youth, implemented and assisted 61 Taiwanese-funded enterprises to register here, and has established a number of teams of doctors from higher institutions of Taiwan; it has carried out large-scale innovation and entrepreneurship competitions in Sichuan and Taiwan, provides “one-stop” high-quality corporate bred services for Taiwanese young people who have passed the project evaluation and are expected to enter the park as well as assist in funds during the accelerated development of enterprises, so as to play a good role in attracting more Taiwanese young people to “settle westward” for innovation and entrepreneurship.
