On April 20, Mr. Yin Li, Vice Secretary of Sichuan Provincial Committee of the CPC, Governor of Sichuan Provincial People's Government, met with the delegation of Nepali Foreign Minister Gyawall in Chengdu.
Mr. Yin Li welcomed Gyawall and his delegation’s visit in Sichuan. He said that Nepal has a long history and culture and is our friendly neighbor. In recent years, the relations between China and Nepal have continued to develop in a healthy manner; the local economic and trade cooperation and exchanges between Sichuan and Nepal have also been developed and strengthened. Sichuan is willing to make joint efforts with Nepal. Based on the consolidation of traditional friendship and the opportunity of “Belt and Road Initiative”, we are to pragmatically promote in-depth and extensive cooperation in the areas of economy, trade, humanities, tourism, and infrastructure construction for mutually beneficial and win-win cooperation. It is also hoped that Nepal enjoys its social stability, economic development and people’s happiness.
Gyawall said that Sichuan, with a long history and economic prosperity, is a window for all walks of life in Nepal to understand China. Nepal hopes to further strengthen its sincere cooperation with Sichuan in trade, tourism, humanities and investment under the “Belt and Road Initiative” and learn from Sichuan’s experience in infrastructure construction and disaster prevention and reduction to promote its own economic prosperity and people’s happiness.
Mr. Baodell, Nepali Ambassador to China and Mr. Zhu Hexin, Vice Governor of Sichuan Provincial People's Government, attended the meeting.
