On April 12, Mr. Yin Li, Vice Secretary of Sichuan Provincial Committee of the CPC, Governor of Sichuan Provincial People’s Government, met with Mr. Thomas Caulfield, CEO of GlobalFoundries in Chengdu.

　　Mr. Yin Li said that Sichuan Province attaches great importance to the development of the electronic information industry and has a good industrial base and talents, thus it is willing to work together with world-famous companies including GlobalFoundries to build a good ecosystem of electronic information industry and achieve mutually beneficial and win-win results. It is hoped that the two parties can work together to promote the effective production of cooperative projects at an early date and continue to expanded and deepen the cooperation, so as to accelerate the construction of a world-class integrated circuit industrial base.

　　Mr. Caulfield said that the Chengdu project of GlobalFoundries has a very important position in their global industrial layout. It is believed that through joint efforts of both parties, it will surely promote the early release of the first wafer product and the achievement of new cooperation targets, so as to better meet the needs of the global market and promote mutual development.

　　Mr. Fan Ruiping, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee, Secretary of the CPC Chengdu Municipal Committee, Mr. Zhu Hexin, Governor of Sichuan Provincial People’s Government and Mr. Tang Limin, Secretary General of Sichuan Provincial People’s Government, attended the meeting.
