This year, Sichuan Province will build 156 “Safety Communities” and 13 safety experience centers. Sichuan Provincial Finance Department will provide financial assistance for related projects.

　　The safety production work in our province will focus on the capability of grassroots safety supervision, specialization, advocacy and emergency support. We will continue to improve the modernization of grassroot governance system and governance capabilities, and build a grassroots social governance structure for common governance and sharing.

　　This year, 156 “Sichuan Safety Communities” will be built, including 92 projects for people’s livelihood. A total of 195 “safety communities” are to be re-evaluated; 13 safety experience centers and 1 demonstration safety community are to be established in each city (prefecture). The Provincial Finance Department subsidizes each safety experience center and community incorporated into people's livelihood 500,000 yuan and 250,000 yuan respectively by standards, and grants 100,000 yuan to one demonstration safety community built by each city (prefecture). 

　　As of the end of 2017, our province had initiated the construction of more than 1,300 safe communities, completed and named 665 ones “Sichuan Province Safe Communities”, covering more than 150 counties (cities, districts) in 21 cities (prefectures), benefiting more than 30 million people.
