On the afternoon of November 29th, the signing ceremony of the strategic cooperation agreement between the People's Government of Sichuan Province and Tianjin University was held in Chengdu. Mr. Peng Qinghua, Secretary of Sichuan Provincial Committee of the CPC, met with Mr. Li Jiajun, Secretary of the Party Committee of Tianjin University, Mr. Zhong Denghua, President of Tianjin University, and their delegation, and attended the signing ceremony together.

　　During their meeting, Mr. Peng Qinghua, Mr. Li Jiajun and Mr. Zhong Denghua exchanged views and reached a series of consensus on cooperation in promoting the construction of new high-end think tanks, the collaborative innovation integrating production, education and research, as well as the training and cultivation of cadres.

　　At the signing ceremony, Mr. Wang Zhengpu, member of the Standing Committee of the Sichuan Provincial Party Committee of CPC and Minister of the Organization Department, introduced relevant progress made in implementing Sichuan's strategy of building itself into a strong province by nurturing talents and in promoting its College-Government Cooperation with Tianjin University; Mr. Li Jiajun introduced the development trajectory of Tianjin University and put forward suggestions on jointly implementing the strategic cooperation agreement. Mr. Yang Xingping, Vice Governor of People's Government of Sichuan Province, and Mr. Zhong Denghua signed a strategic cooperation agreement on behalf of the concerning parties. Mr. Peng Qinghua and Mr. Li Jiajun witnessed the signing of the agreement. According to the agreement, the two sides will give full play to their respective advantages and fully combine their existing resources so as to carry out all-round cooperation in strategic decision-making and consultation, transformation of scien-tech innovations and achievements, higher education development, conservation of cultural industries and cultural relics, and talent exchange and training. This will enable them to promote Sichuan's industrial transformation and upgrading, erect collaborative innovation platforms, build a vantage point for inland open economy and realize high-quality economic development as soon as possible with joint efforts.
