On November 26th, Mr. Yin Li, Vice Secretary of Sichuan Provincial Committee of the CPC, Governor of People’s Government of Sichuan Province, presided over a meeting of the Leading Group for the Construction of Sichuan Tianfu New District in Sichuan Province. During the meeting, a report on the construction and development progress achieved this year by Sichuan Tianfu New Area was delivered, deployments regarding key tasks for the next year arranged, and opinions on high-standard planning and high-quality development of Sichuan Tianfu New Area were reviewed.

　　Mr. Yin Li stressed the necessity to implement to the letter the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping for the work of Sichuan and for the Tianfu New Area. He urged us to implement exactly the deployments of the Third Plenary Session of the 11th Provincial Party Committee, target at problems, goals and development, take a reality and potential oriented view, have a clear development vision based on the requirements of high-quality development, and clarify institutions and mechanisms. That is how we can accelerate the implementation of a number of major initiatives in key areas such as urban construction, industrial development, reform and innovation, open cooperation, and coordinated development. We should strive to achieve greater effectiveness and continue to strength the sustaining, influencing and driving effect of Tianfu New Area. We must apply the concept of park city throughout the construction of Tianfu New Area to create a new benchmark for building livable and business-friendly cities. Chengdu and Meishan City should assume more responsibilities, think from the big picture, continue to deepen reforms, expand openness with greater efforts, unshackle development obstacles, so as to foster a more dynamic and inner motivated Tianfu New Area. All provincial-level departments should take the initiative to participate in the high-standard planning and high-level development of Tianfu New Area, in an effort to bring in favorable policies, natural resources, and advantageous industries to the New Area. At the same time, they should strengthen statistical monitoring, supervision and assessment as a way to mass the high-quality development forces of Tianfu New Area. We must do a good job in finishing the work of this year, and designing a work plan for the next year. All is done to ensure that the fulfillment of established goals in construction of the Tianfu New Area.
