On November 26th, Mr. Yin Li, Vice Secretary of Sichuan Provincial Committee of the CPC, Governor of People’s Government of Sichuan Province, presided over the Special Meeting for the Joint Conference of the Chengdu Plain Economic Zone, during which he stressed the need to implement thoroughly the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on the work of Sichuan, and carry out to the letter the deployments made at the Third Plenary Session of the 11th Provincial Party Committee and relevant meetings on advancing the coordinated development of the Chengdu Plain Economic Zone. He made a clear list and map to launch the operation to accelerate the development of the Chengdu Plain Economic Zone, and to lead the high-quality development of Sichuan Province.

　　In the meeting, the reports on the implementation of the "one main area and multiple auxiliaries" development strategy and of the important deployments of the Conference on Promoting the Collaborative Development of Chengdu Plain Economic Zone were delivered, and the documents of the 13th Five-Year Development Plan of the Chengdu Plain Economic Zone and the Key Tasks for the Coordinated Development of the Chengdu Plain Economic Zone were put into deliberation.

　　Mr. Yin Li stressed the need to gain a clearer picture of the major position and role played by the Chengdu Plain Economic Zone in the overall development of our province. He said that we should take the initiative to benchmark against the world-class cities and highly developed domestic regions to strengthen our strategic thinking and target-oriented spirit. He urged more efforts to be devoted to perfectly match the space planning, make inter-city railway transportation more commonly used, share and integrate data resources, encourage the healthy cooperation of industrial divisions, drive the opening-up to the outside world, improve the overall business environment, ensure co-construction and sharing of public services, and jointly prevent and control environmental pollution. He rendered that these efforts would help accelerate the overall improvement within the Chengdu Plain Economic Zone and drive urbanization in its center and overall integrated development with "Chengdu" as the focus and others "main areas" as the target for enhancing development. He believed that all of this would help promote the high-quality development of various cities in the district. Besides, it is necessary to strengthen the sound connection with the 13th Five-Year Plan of the province and other documents. He urged us to take into consideration the comprehensive objectives such as economic development, improvement of social undertakings, and business environment optimization to revise and implement the 13th Five-Year Plan for the Development of Chengdu Plain Economic Zone in a scientific manner. He reminded us to seize the opportunity of time to tackle major tasks with concentrated resources and strengths, and struggle to make as soon as possible substantial breakthroughs in key projects concerning fields such as infrastructure, ecological environment, industrial cooperation, and innovation reform. He highlighted the necessity to further improve the leadership mechanism and promotion mechanism for coordinated development, and to strengthen supervision and inspection over the progress of major projects and key matters in various localities, so as to guarantee service delivery and put in place related work with greater efforts.

　　Mr. Yin Li demanded the Chengdu Plain Economic Zone to conduct a thorough check by the end of the year in reference to the task list settled down at the beginning of the year to ensure that all goals are successfully fulfilled, and that the work for the next year is to be arranged to guarantee a good start.
