Chengdu-Anyue-ChongqingHighway, the shortest highway between Chengdu and Chongqing with the best rout and highest standards will be opened on September 30th. Our reporter has learnt from the Transportation Department of Sichuan Province on September 24th that the key construction project of Chengdu section has been completed which allowed vehicles to run on it for trail. It is toll-free for Sichuan section in its preliminary operation stage.

Chengdu-Anyue-ChongqingHighway, with a total length of 251 kilometers, has 174.5 kilometers lying in Sichuan. Its section in Sichuan begins from the west of intersection of Chengdu Belt Expressway and Chengluo Road, passing Longquanyi District, Jianyang City, Lezhi County and Anyue County, stopping around Guanyin Bridge in Zhongyi Township of Anyue County, and meet Chongqing section here. The section from Chengdu SecondBelt Expressway to the provincial boundary of Sichuan and Chongqing, with a length of about 150 kilometers, was opened at the end of last year, and the section from Chengdu Belt Expressway to Chengdu Second Belt Expressway has also been completed with well-set pavement, signs and facilities for traffic safety, ready to be opened.

With the maximum speed limit of 120 km / h, the highway has 6 two-way lanes in the whole line. After its full opening, it will take only 2.5 hours to drive from Chengdu Belt Expressway to Chongqing Belt Expressway, 1 hour less than that by Chengdu-Chongqing Highway.

There are 14 interchanges in its section in Sichuan and 10 pairs of toll gates, 4 pairs of service area and 3 pairs of parking zones in the preliminary stage. The 3 toll gates in Jianyang City will not be opened until the construction of the road is finished. Due to the upgrading of gas station along the highway, fuel charging is not available now. People can drive to local roads from the toll gate in Lezhi or Anyue for fuel charging.
