On August 1st, Consulate General of Switzerland in Chengdu held Switzerland National Day Reception. Mr. Zhu Hexin, Vice Governor of Sichuan Provincial People’s Government, attended the reception, delivered a speech and congratulated to Swiss friends in Sichuan.

　　

In his speech, Vice Governor Zhu Hexin mentioned that Sichuan is a major province in economy, population, resources, technology, and tourism. Sichuan is complementary with Swiss economy. The cooperation between Switzerland and Sichuan is huge. Sichuan has always valued the friendship with Sichuan. In recent years, Sichuan and Switzerland have frequent friendly exchanges, achieved remarkable progress in pragmatic cooperation in fields in economy, trade, technology, innovation, environmental protection and so on. Currently, there are 26 Swiss enterprises investing in Sichuan. Sichuan has entered into a critical period for comprehensive constructing well-being society and a giant economic province. Sichuan is willing to cooperate with Sichuan to strengthen exchanges and practical cooperation, and continuously enhance bilateral trade and investment. Sichuan welcomes more Swiss friends to travel, study and invest in Sichuan, share Sichuan’s new development opportunities, and jointly promote mutual cooperation to a higher level.

　　

In his speech, Mr. Frank Eggmann, the Consul General of Switzerland in Chengdu, indicated to expand the cooperation fields between Switzerland and Sichuan, and strive to yield more achievements.
