On August 1st, Sichuan Provincial People’s Government signed cooperative understanding memorandum with Japan External Trade Organization(JETRO). Mr. Yin Li, Vice Secretary of Sichuan Provincial Committee of the CPC and Governor of Sichuan Provincial People's Government, in Chengdu met Mr. Hioyuki Ishige, Chairman of JETRO.
According to the memorandum of understanding, Sichuan and JETRO will further enhance exchanges and cooperation in retail, distribution, health care, social welfare, tourism and so on, promote the commercial and technical exchanges in environmental protection, energy conservation, emission reduction and so on with Japanese counterparts, and protect intellectual property rights.
Governor Yin Li discussed with Mr. Ishige concerning strengthening cooperation in fields such as food, beverage, pension, health management, automobile, electronic information, aviation industries and so on. They indicated that both sides would actively promote the implementation of these cooperative matters, build platforms for enhancing bilateral investment and trade between enterprises, deepen cooperation and exchange, and achieve win-win development.
Mr. Tang Limin, Secretary General of Sichuan Provincial People's Government, and so on, also attended the meeting.
