The total tourism revenue of Sichuan from January to June has amounted to 458.18 billion yuan, a year-on-year growth of 19.3%, completing 53.2% of the annual target. Meanwhile, statistics also reveal that the increase rate of tourism revenue is 6.9 percentage points higher than that of total retail sales of consumer goods of Sichuan, indicating that tourism continuously drives consumption.

Tourism foreign exchange revenue has reached 541 billion yuan, up 11.5%, accounting for 3.3% of Sichuan’s export revenue, rising 0.6% than that of the previous year.

　　Moreover, the descending trend of outbound tourism has been slower. Data reveal that travel agencies have organized 815,700 outbound tourists, declining 5.3%. While there are 417,400 outbound tourists in the second quarter, down 1.6%, indicating an obvious slowdown trend comparing the figure of 8.9 in the first quarter.

Reporters have learned that there are 7 cities with tourism revenue of over 20 billion yuan, including Chengdu (129.068 billion yuan), Leshan (37.483 billion yuan), Mianyang (28.494 billion yuan), Yibin (27.234 billion yuan), Nanchong (23.534 billion yuan), Luzhou (22.042 billion yuan), and Zigong (20.544 billion yuan), 2 cities more than those of 2016.
