On August 21st, Sichaun•Hong Kong•Macao Cooperation Week organized by Sichuan Provincial People’s Government was held in Hong Kong. In the following 4 days, Sichuan will hold 9 activities concerning trade, culture, tourism and so on. 

　　”One conference and two exhibitions” are the highlight of the cooperation week. “One conference” indicates Sichaun•Hong Kong•Macao Cooperation Week Sichuan Promotion Conference on International Cooperation Under the Belt and Road Initiative held on August 22nd. The promotion with the theme of “Grand opportunities and investing in Sichuan” displays the development opportunities of Chengdu, the Land of Abundance, and the construction of China (Sichuan) Pilot Free Trade Zone. On the promotion, a batch of mutual investment and Sichuan-Hong Kong trade and economic cooperation projects have been signed. ”Two exhibitions” include “Tianfu New Opportunities” Sichuan Theme Exhibition to be held on August 22nd and Giant Panda Art Exhibition which will be held at Hong Kong Ocean Park on August 24th. “Tianfu New Opportunities” Sichuan Theme Exhibition will display the cultural, trade and economic integration as well as profound friendship between Hong Kong and Sichuan. Giant Panda Art Exhibition will include giant panda photography exhibition, giant panda DIY colorful paintings, and giant panda puppet shows and so on.

　　The key words of this cooperation week are expressing gratitude and seeking for cooperation. Hong Kong is the largest source of foreign investment and the fourth largest trading partner of Sichuan. In recent years, the trade volumes between Sichuan and Hong Kong have increased with an annual rate of 20%. Meanwhile, Sichuan and Hong Kong have also established profound friendship through Hong Kong’s participation into the post-disaster restoration and reconstruction of Sichuan. Hong Kong has denoted over HK $ 10 billion for 12 municipalities (prefectures) of Sichuan in the restoration and reconstruction of 5•12 Wenchuan Massive Earthquake. Relevant responsible officials of the organizing parts indicate that expressing gratitude to Hong Kong for help and displaying a new and vigorous Sichuan are important themes of the cooperation week. Wolong China Giant Panda Park and Dujiangyan Base of China Giant Panda Research Center have been permanently free to Hong Kong residences. During the cooperation week, Sichuan will also send free ticket packages of Sichuan’s scenic spots to Hong Kong citizens.

　　During the cooperation week, special activities such as Chengdu Establishing National Western Cultural Innovation Center and Chengdu Constructing National Western Financial Center and so on. Luzhou Laojiao will hold “New Sichuan and New Sichuan Wine” New Wine Tasting Activity. Sichuan cultures and beautiful scenery will also also be promoted at the famous and influential scenic spots of Hong Kong. “Giant Panda BUS” City Touring and flash mob activities will be held every afternoon of the cooperation week.
