On July 27th, at Chengdu Jinjiang Hotel, actors from Zambia dressed with their national costumes danced with cheerful beating rhythm. This Zambia dance opened prelude of Zambia-Sichuan Economic and Trade Cooperation Forum. Mrs. Inonge Wina, Vice President of Zambia, attended the forum and delivered a keynote speech.

　　Plentiful investment promotion activities will be held during the forum in order to assist Sichuan to have a thorough understanding of Zambia concerning investment environment and development opportunities, attract more Sichuan enterprises to invest in Zambia and promote the friendly relations between Zambia and Sichuan.

　”Zambia has an attractive climate, rich national resources, and hospitable people and welcomes more Sichuan entrepreneurs to invest in Zambia.” On the forum, Vice President Wina introduced Zambia from agriculture, tourism, mineral and so on. Director of Zambia Development and Investment Department and CEO of Zambia Tourism Administration also introduced Zambia. Enterprise and government representatives from China and Zambia docked with each other.

　　For a long time, Sichuan enterprises actively have participated into large infrastructure construction including roads, airports, power stations and so on in Zambia with all types of projects over 400 million dollars. Currently, Zambia has become an important investment destination of Sichuan in Africa. Sichuan enterprises are expanding their investment scopes from traditional fields such as mining, agriculture, construction and so on to finance, telecommunications, energy, tourism, processing and manufacturing.
