On June 6, Yin Li, Vice Secretary of Sichuan Provincial Party Committee and Governor of Sichuan Province, hosted the Leading Group Meeting for Reconstruction in Kangting after an earthquake of the Richter scale of 6.3, during which, he listened the report on post-earthquake reconstruction and deployed the major arrangements for the next step.

　　By the end of May, 2017, 392 reconstruction projects have been fully implemented with 313 completed. An investment of 3.34 billion yuan has been put into place, accounting for 81.7% of the total investment. Houses of 3,027 urban and rural families have been reconstructed and houses of 26,683 urban and rural families have been consolidated. Progress has been made in the post-earthquake reconstruction.

　　Yin Li stressed that, this year marks the end of the reconstruction. The struck area and departments directly under the province should enhance the sense of responsibility and urgency to implement the arrangements and deployments made by the Provincial Party Committee and the People’s Government of Sichuan Province in a more effective and pragmatic manner, so as to ensure the reconstruction target is fulfilled within three years. Efforts should be made to accelerate the implementation of reconstruction projects and further improve the living conditions for the public and the basic public service qualities for the struck areas. In addition, Sichuan should step up to check the completed projects before delivery and bring the economic and social benefits generated by the projects into full play as soon as possible. Importance should be attached to gratitude education to lead the cadres and people to march ahead with gratitude and transform the care and concerns of the Central Party into the development and stability of the struck areas.

　　Yin Li also requires that the struck areas in Kangting draw experience from Wenchuan and Lushan, and project the long-term rejuvenation and development based on local circumstances. Special projects of all kinds in provincial, municipal, and county-level should be coordinated to support the preferential policies and resources of various types should be integrated. By combining with targeted poverty alleviation, the struck areas in Kangting should make full use of the advantages in tourism resources, promote the development of all-for-one tourism, and generate more profits for the people in the areas.

Officials of the Office of Post-Earthquake Reconstruction, Garzê Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture and other related counties, and the Department of Housing and Urban and Rural Construction of Sichuan Province and other provincial departments made remarks in the meeting.
