On June 20th, Ministry of Science and Technology, National Health and Family Planning Commission, and Sichuan Provincial People’s Government jointly signed a framework agreement in Chengdu, deciding to promote a pilot demonstration of major new drugs producing national science and technology project transfer and transformation. Mr. Yin Li, Vice Secretary of Sichuan Provincial Party Committee and Governor of Sichuan Province, attended the agreement signing ceremony and delivered a speech.

　　According to the agreement, these three parties concerned will construct pilot demonstration base, build four platforms and four supporting systems, namely new drugs discovery whole chain technology and innovation platform, new drugs discovery products trading platform, new drugs discovery application and evaluation platform, and new drugs discovery product clinical application platforms, and policy supporting system, financial service supporting system, talent training supporting system and promoting supporting system in order to accelerate the transfer and transformation of major new drugs in Sichuan.

　　In his remarks, Governor Yin Li pointed out that this national pilot demonstration of major new drugs aimed to promote innovation achievements to dock with industries and innovation projects to dock with productive forces, which had significance for promoting scientific and technical achievement transformation and the sound development of medicine industry. Sichuan would strive to try and innovate, and achieve to provide replicable experiences for other regions.

　　Sichuan would earnestly implement the pilot project, create demonstration bases, and supply specialized services for large-scaled and industrialized production of major drugs discovery achievements. Sichuan would intensify the talent introduction, improve relevant policies and measures, and create a more encouraging and attractive system environment in order to gather and attract more domestic and international talents. Sichuan will also spare no efforts to provide excellent services and sound environments, ensure the smooth promotion of the pilot project under the guidance of Ministry of Science and Technology and National Health and Family Planning Commission, and achieve the expectation and target of demonstration project.

　　Mr. Li Ping, Member of Party Committee of Ministry of Science and Technology and Director of Science and Technology Daily, Mr. Zeng Yixin, Vice Director of National Health and Family Planning Commission, and Mr. Yang Xingping, Vice Governor of Sichuan Province, signed the agreement.

　　Mr. Tang Limin, Secretary General of the People’s Government of Sichuan Province, presided over the agreement signing ceremony. Relevant officials from provincial departments and Chengdu Municipal departments also attended the signing ceremony.
