On June 8, Yin Li, Vice Secretary of Sichuan Provincial Party Committee and Governor of Sichuan Province, hosted the Forum for Chambers of Commerce in Sichuan Province in Chengdu to report the development of various Chambers of Commerce and investors and draw on the suggestions on the development of Sichuan Province, as well as encourage people to grasp opportunities and invest in key areas for solid and open development in Sichuan Province.
Bao Zhensheng, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce of Hebei Province, Sun Zhiwen, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce of Shanghai, Liao Shouming, the Chamber of Commerce of Jiangsu Province, Chen Chaoqin, the Chamber of Commerce of Zhejiang Province, Xiong Nanqi, the Chamber of Commerce of Anhui Province, Chen Xinxian, the Chamber of Commerce of Fujian Province, Han Dong, the Chamber of Commerce of Shandong Province, Lin Shaofen, the Chamber of Commerce of Guangdong Province, and Fan Jianchuan, the Union of Chamber of Commerce in Sichuan Province made remarks. All the Chambers of Commerce has together issued the initiative of Becoming New Sichuan Merchants, Establishing New Sichuan on the forum.
Yin Li expressed gratitude to all the Chambers of Commerce and investors for the contributions to the social and economic development of Sichuan Province. He claimed that, standing on a new starting point, Sichuan has embraced an integration of national strategies such as Belt and Road construction, the development of Yangtze River Economic Belt, and the Western Development Drive, with deepening implementation of national policies for the development of minority concentrated regions, the rejuvenation of revolutionary areas, and poverty alleviation. Furthermore, the construction of Pilot Free Trade Zone, Pilot Zone for Comprehensive Innovation and Reform, and Tianfu New Area, has supported and safeguarded the sustainable and sound development of Sichuan Province and also provided Sichuan with massive development opportunities.
The opportunities for Sichuan can be shared by all. He hoped that, all Chambers of Commerce and entrepreneurs intensify the investment and share the development opportunities to seek further development in establishing a beautiful, prosperous, and harmonious Sichuan.
Yin Li pointed out that, the foundations and conditions for development in Sichuan has been gradually improved, therefore, investing in Sichuan can be greatly rewarding. He hoped that, all Chambers of Commerce and entrepreneurs enhance exchanges and connections in electronic information, aviation and combustion engines, bio-medicine, elderly health care, the integrated development of the first, secondary, and tertiary industries, and new type of urbanization, and cultivate more pragmatic cooperation. Sichuan will be the home for all investors. The People’s Government of Sichuan Province and all departments will strengthen the assistance and services, deepen the reform on streamlining the administration, improving regulations, and enhancing services, constantly strengthen soft infrastructure construction, and provide better government services, so as to create a safe, convenient, effective, and low-cost environment for business operation and ensure sound and open development of all Chambers of Commerce and entrepreneurs.
Yin Li also stressed that, all government in Sichuan Province, Chambers of Commerce, and entrepreneurs of private enterprises should make concerted efforts to forge an intimate and clean relationship between the government and commercial industries. The governments should enhance exchanges with entrepreneurs and help them solve problems confronted in the development from the bottom of heart and establish a clean relationship between the two parties. All Chambers of Commerce and entrepreneurs of private enterprises should actively deliver suggestions, enthusiastically support the social and economic development of the area, and abide by the regulations and law in the development and business operation.
By now, there are in total 28 Chambers of Commerce, 23 sub-chambers at municipal level, 6 industrial sub-chambers, and over 10,000 membership enterprises in Sichuan, with an investment of more than three trillion yuan and tax deliveries of over 300 billion yuan. More than five million jobs have been created and donations for public welfare have exceeded 500 billion yuan.
Zhu Hexin, Vice Governor of Sichuan Province, Tang Limin, Secretary General of the People’s Government of Sichuan Province, and officials of related departments at provincial level, also attended the forum.
