On May 23, Yang Xingping, Vice Governor of Sichuan Province met with Hoybraten, Secretary General of the Nordic Council of Ministers and the delegation.

　　Yang Xingping extended warm welcome to the delegation and briefed the basic situation and economic and social development of Sichuan Province. He stated that, Sichuan, with perfect location and convenient transport, is a province with strong economy. With the implementation of Belt and Road Initiative, Sichuan boasts a bright prospect for cooperation and exchanges with Nordic countries due to its huge development potentials. He hoped that, both parties can bring the advantages into full play and strengthen the cooperation and exchanges in twin-city establishment, innovation, environmental protection, and sustainable development to enhance the bilateral tie.

　　Hoybraten showed gratitude to the hospitality and claimed that, the beautiful natural sceneries, fast social and economic development, and advanced science and technology have impressed him a lot during his first trip to Sichuan. The council will continue to promote cooperation in smart city, energy utilization, and regional exchanges between Sichuan and Nordic countries.

　　He Lvzhang, Deputy Secretary-General of the People’s Government of Sichuan Province, and Mu Xinhai, Director of the Department of Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs of the People’s Government of Sichuan Province, also attended the meeting.
