On May 8, Sichuan has officially established twin-city relationship with West Jawa Barat of Indonesia. Yin Li, Vice Secretary of Sichuan Provincial Party Committee and Governor of Sichuan Province, and Heriawan, Governor of West Jawa Barat, attended the signing ceremony in Chengdu and signed the agreement.

　　According to the agreement, the two parties will make concerted effort to enhance people-to-people exchanges and information sharing, promote cooperation in various fields such as education, tourism, culture and art, trade investment, agriculture, public servant training, and science and technology, and constantly strengthen the understanding and friendship between the governments and peoples.
