Western China International Fair 2017 will be opened from September 15 to 18 in Chengdu. Currently an array of preparatory work such as attracting capitals and exhibitions, organizing activities, inviting guests, and conducting promotions are promoted in an orderly manner. Germany and Italy will attend the Fair, according to the WCIF National Delegation Meeting. 19 provinces and cities including Shanghai, Tianjin, and Heilong and 21 cities in Sichuan attended the meeting.

　　It is known that, WCIF 2017, themed by Open Trade and Cooperative Development, covers an area of approximately 80,000 square meters and will take full use of the rich resources and the platform role of WCIF to forge another new platform for opening up and cooperation and for the construction of Belt and Road Initiative, which complements WCIF, in accordance with the requirements of specialization, internationalization, and informationalization.

　　This year’s WCIF will bring about serials of supporting activities and special trade promotion activities including the 10th Western China International Sourcing Fair, “One Belt One Road” Cross-border Trade Development Fair, the Second Western China Public Procurement Fair, and special matchmaking meetings.

　　WCIF 2017 has set up three exhibition halls for industrial cooperation, commodity trade, and service trade. The Commodity Trade Exhibition Hall has provided an international pavilion with focus on the advantaged industries and characteristic products from EU members such as Germany and Italy, countries along the Belt and Road Initiative, and the BRICKS. Germany will present its exquisite handicrafts on the Fair such as pens and silk and leather products.
