China International Alcoholic Drinks Expo 2017 Held in Luzhou

  On March 18th, China International Alcoholic Drinks Expo 2017 was held in Luzhou. Liu Xiaofeng, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, announced to inaugurate the Expo. Yin Li, Vice Secretary of Sichuan Provincial Party Committee, Zhang Chonghe, Chairman of China National Light Industry Council, and Christopher Lim, Consul-General of the Consulate General of Australia in Chengdu attended the Expo and delivered speeches.

  The Expo, with Australia as the Guest of Honor, was joined by over 600 alcoholic drinks enterprises from 36 countries and regions and over 1000 procurers and distributors. There were five exhibition halls including Chinese Elite Liquors, International Elite Wines, Chinese Comprehensive Liquors, International Comprehensive Wines, and Technical Equipments of Alcoholic Drinks, with exhibits covering liquors, wines, beers, health alcoholic drinks, fruit alcoholic drinks, rice wines, and etc. During the Expo, big data of the global alcoholic drinks industry was released, and activities including international alcoholic drinks forum, Chinese liquors package design competition and platform connecting production with sales were conducted.

  On behalf of Sichuan Provincial Party Committee and Sichuan Provincial People’s Government, Yin Li extended warm welcome to people of all walks of life present at the Expo. He stated that, the Expo, themed by A Toast to China, A Taste of World, became the platform for the open exchanges and win-win cooperation in the national industry of alcoholic drinks. Sichuan, in the hope of taking the Expo as a carrier, will constantly enhance exchanges between Chinese liquors culture with wine culture of the world, and deepen the investment and trade cooperation between Sichuan and all parties. Sichuan will attach more emphasis on innovative development, propel supply-side structural reform, and draw experience from the advanced technical management and sales of alcoholic drinks industry both at home and abroad, so as to upgrade the product structure of Sichuan liquors, establish more famous brands with market as the orientation and good qualities as the essence, and generate diversified and refined liquors to adapt to and lead the demands of different consumers, with. Sichuan will put more importance on cultural inheritance and further tap and enrich the liquors culture, in order to provide people’s mental and cultural life with splendid ethnical cultures and characteristic cultures and products of intensified cultural connotations. Sichuan will also place more stress on ecological conservation, stay committed to green development, and strengthen the environmental protection and governance in the production areas, so as to keep green mountains and water lasting and immortal and promote sound and sustainable development of alcoholic drinks industry.

  Wang Yancai, Board Director of China Alcoholic Drinks Industry Association, hosted the opening ceremony. Wang Zhengrong, Vice Secretary of Sichuan Committee of Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, officials from relevant national Party Committees and provincial departments, experts and scholars from alcoholic drinks industry at home and abroad, as well as heads and representative procurers from well-known alcoholic drinks enterprises and industry associations also attended the Expo.

  Liu Xiaofeng and Yin Li visited the exhibition pavilions of the Expo in the morning. Yin Li also met with Phantipha, Consul-General of Royal Thai Consulate-General in Chengdu, Christopher Lim, Consul-General of the Consulate General of Australia in Chengdu, and other foreign guests present at the Expo.
