Reporters learn from PetroChina Southwest Oil and Gasfield Company that the company will initiate a new round of preliminary work for drilling on shale gas production platforms. The increasing production of shale gas will be 1.5 billion cubic meters. It is estimated that the annual production of shale gas will be over 10 billion cubic meters by 2020.

　　Currently, PetroChina Southwest Oil and Gasfield Company has completed the construction of Changning-Weiyuan National Level Shale Gas Demonstration Zone with annual production of over 2.5 cubic meters in Southern Sichuan. There are over a dozen national records in working platforms when constructing. The company has also created 6 major exploration and development technologies suitable for multiphase tectonic evolution and completed mountain shale gas in southern China, accumulated advanced experiences geological project integration, high output well cultivation and so on, and achieved the massive development for below 3,500 meters. Last year, the annual output of this company has amounted to 2.3 billion cubic meters, 800 million cubic meters than planning.

　　The annual output shale gas in Southern Sichuan is 10 billion cubic meters. This is one of 5 increasing production projects of PetroChina Southwest Oil and Gasfield Company with annual production of 30 billion cubic meters of natural gas. In 2017, the company plans to increase 19 platforms, 110 newly constructed drilling wells, 45 wells with full supporting facilities, and 1.5 billion cubic meters of annual output. Relevant experts from this company has indicated that to further enhance the gas production of single well, lower construction cost, and highlight on striving technological breakthroughs in implementing 3,000 meters super long horizontal sections and horizontal wells and promoting 3,500 meters deep volume fracturing.
