Sichuan Province remote sensing big data application engineering technology research center was set up in Chengdu recently.This is the first nonprofit institution in our province focusing on remote sensing big data engineering application research, which means Sichuan has seized the first chance of the development and application of remote sensing big data.

　　The research center is jointly established by Sichuan Provincial Geographic Information Bureau of Surveying and Mapping, Wuhan University, China Academy of Surveying and Mapping Science, Satellite Surveying and Mapping Application Center of National Geographic Survey and Geoinformation Bureau, Sichuan Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and Sichuan Provincial Academy of Environmental Science and Technology with the goal of “four in one” remote sensing big data collaborative innovation and industrialization base. It is to provid remote sensing big data information service for government decision-making, enterprise operation and public service.
