In the first 9 months of this year, 406 foreign-invested enterprises were newly established in Sichuan Province, up by 60.47% on year-on-year basis. 94 of them were built in Sichuan Pilot Free Trade Zone, accounting for over 20% of all. In recent years, Sichuan has accelerated the reform in the service sector, relaxing the limits for foreign-funded enterprises. In the first three quarters, the amount of newly established foreign-invested enterprises in fields of information transmission, education and health, water environment and public facilities management has grown by more than 2.5 times on year-on-year basis. Over the same period, capital of foreign investment contracts reached 3.59 billion US dollars with an increase of 26.44%; 45.5 billion of foreign investment were in place, increasing by 5.3%, among which, more than 1.4 billion can be included in the statistics of the Ministry of Commerce, with an increase of over 40% over the same period of last year, remaining top ten in China in its growth rate.
