During the National Holiday, over 300,000 people watched Sichuan (Deyang) International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition 2017. Cool aerial aerobatics, professional space science exhibition, new aircraft, and UAV feasted people’seyesduring thisexhibition.
For the audience, the 5-day exhibition has provided them with not only the visual feast of aerial aerobatics, but also a chance to have a close contact with global top-notch navigation planes. For the development of aerospace industry in our province, this exhibition fills the blank of large scale aerospace show during which we had in-depth innovation seminars and also the signing of cooperation projects.
Cutting-edge and down-to-earth style
"Baltic Bee"formed by six planes from Latvia made a heavenly-maids-scattering-blossoms patter. A man and his nephew from Alonso family in Spain danced in the air in the plane. The American aerobatics team"Air force" and "Distinguished Flighter" displayed words of"welcometo Sichuan"in the sky. Apart from the spectacular air show,more than 10 countries and 200 companies joined the exhibition. In the static exhibition, there are 78 planes of 51 world-renowned models including Robinson R44; 42 planes showed themselves during the dynamic exhibition. Mr. Guo Liang, founder of AOSSCI which also participated in the exhibition, said that theexhibition in our province can better display the development of aviation industry of Sichuan which boosts many large aircrafts, military aircrafts and outstanding enterprises in the general aviation field.
“ARJ21 is the first self-developed jet in China.” ARJ21, new regional jet in China has attracted attention from many professionals with its demonstration operation model and development plan before Chengdu Aviation Booth in the 3rd exhibition hall in Hangar Xingyao.
Aeronautical components manufacturing companies including China National Erzhong Wanhang Co., Ltd, Lingfeng Aviation Hydraulic Machinery Co., Ltd and Future Aerospace displayed their products; local companies in Deyang such as Xilin Fengtong General Aerospace Co., Ltd and Toefl General Aviation also displayed their aircrafts. SophisticatedUAV represented by PterosaursⅡ, Hawk Eagle and Rainbow 4 were the focus of people.
Mr. Chen Juming, President of Airbus China, described this exhibition as surprising. It not only showed sophisticated and advanced aerospace equipment but also closeness to the public.
Expanding the “friend circle” of air traffic
“Close cooperation must be our choice.” Mr. Chen Bin, Deputy General Manager of Sichuan Airline Group, expressed his wish that aviation enterprises from home and abroad could cooperate with one another to expand the “friend circle” of air traffic in the 4th China International General Aviation Development Summit during this exhibition.
This is the first aviation & aerospace exhibition witha guest country---Czech, which has sent its government and business group led by Mr. Kohut,consultant of its president. Besides, Czech also brought the world's fastest flying light aircraft Shark here. Mr. Kohut said Czech has decided to build "Shark Light Sports Aircraft Assembly Base"in the Zigong Aviation Industrial Park and the aircraft will be manufactured in Sichuan in the future.
During the exhibition, Sichuan Airlines Group and Sichuan Airlines Co., Ltd signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Czech FAIR flight school and Civil Aviation Flight University of China. All parties will have in-depth cooperation in flying cadets training, teaching and research, teachers and students exchanges, and academic exchanges. Sichuan Airlines and Airbus signed a service agreement and Sichuan Airlines chose the hour services of Airbus flight to safeguard its A350 fleet operation.
When they learned that Deyang undertook R&D and production of hundreds of key parts ---70% forgings of C919, a large aircraft made in China, and more than 80% Chinese civil aviation pilots graduated from Civil Aviation Flight University of China in Guanghan, guests from home and abroad gave big praises and expressed a strong desire to take part in the development of general aviation industry in Sichuan.
Taking off of transformed aviation industry
In the 2017 Sichuan International Aviation and Aerospace Summit, the General Aviation Industry Development Plan (2017-2030 years) of Deyang was issued, which is to build Deyang into a comprehensive demonstration area of China's general aviation industry. Mr.Pu Bo, Secretary of Deyang Municipal Party Committee introduced that Deyang already has a complete aviation supporting R & D and manufacturing industry system. By 2020, Shifang General Airportand “county-to -county flying "heliport will be built.
The rise of Deyang general aviation industry epitomizes the development of Sichuan aerospace industry.
Sichuan is one of the four major military and civil aircraft research and development bases as well as one of the three R & D bases of aviation engines in China. It has more than 100 research institutes and manufacturing enterprises involved in aviation and gas turbine industry. Last year, the total output value of aviation and gas turbine industry in our province exceeded 40 billion yuan. According to plan, the province's aviation and gas turbine industry will reach 150 billion yuan in economic scale by 2020, forming a development pattern of "one base" (Chengdu), three agglomeration areas (Deyang, Mianyang, Zigong) ".
"The aviation industry has a strong influence. For example,the head of C919 which was manufactured by Chengdu Civil Aircraft, has driven around more than 20 enterprises to participate related manufacturing only in the field of mechanical processing." Officials in Provincial Economic and Information Technology Commission said.The development of the aviation industry will lead the transformation and upgrading of high-tech industries in Sichuan.
Facilitating the transformation and upgrading, Sichuan aerospace industry has taken off.
