At midnight of January 13th, Nanchong-Dazhu-Liangping Expressway has been officially opened, which is another channel in east Sichuan. In the beginning of opening, Quxian-Dazhu Section (the border of Sichuan and Chongqing) will be free and other sections of this expressway will be charged normally.

　　Nanchong-Dazhu-Liangping Expressway is in east-west direction, linking with Nanchong-Guang'an Section of Shanghai-Chengdu Expressway in the east, Starting from Nanchong Gaoping District Tanjiagou Interchange, passing through Peng’an County, Yingshan County of Nanchong and Quxian County of Dazhou, crossing with Dazhou-Chongqing Section of Baotou-Maoming Expressway, ending at Shiqiaopu Village, Dazhu County, and linking with Liangping-Zhouxian Expressway constructed by Chongqing. The whole expressway is a double 4 lanes with the total length of 142 km.

　　Previously, the west and east sections of Nanchong-Dazhu-Liangping Expressway have been opened with Huayingshan Tunnel as bound. Huayingshan Tunnel is 8 km in total, which is the single project with the most difficult technologies, the largest investment, and the highest risks in the whole process of the expressway. It could be shortened by half an hour and 40 minutes from Quxian to Dazhu County through the tunnel.

　　The opening of Huayingshan Tunnel signifies the whole opening of Nanchong-Dazhu-Liangping Expressway. It will only take about 3 hours from Dazhou to Chengdu. Nanchong-Dazhu-Liangping Expressway links with Nanchong-Guang'an Expressway, Dazhou-Chongqing Expressway, Bazhong-Nanchong-Guang'an Expressway, Yingshan-Dazhou Expressway and Chongqing Liangzhong Expressway, serving as a convenient and fast channel strengthening the integration between Northeast Sichuan Region with Chengdu and Chongqing and constructing a channel linking Sichuan with the Central Region, East Region and Shaanxi Province.
