On the morning of January 4th at Qingbaijiang Chengdu Railway Port, a train full of electronics was waiting for departure. Since 2017, there is a least one train every day to Lodz, Poland. Such scene has occurred quite often in 2016. According to the data from Chengdu International Railway Trains Co., Ltd., there have been over 450 trains of Chengdu-Europe Express Rail in China-Europe Trains, ranking first in all Chinese cities with China-Europe Trains. Chengdu-Europe Rail has yielded the goal of daily coverage.

　　Now there are 16 Chinese cities running China-Europe Trains and Sichuan has opened Chengdu-Europe Express Rail in 2013 after Chongqing, Changsha, Wuhan and so on. But Sichuan has increased over 10 times in train number compared with that in 2013.

　　The carried product structure on the trains has also continuously changed. Last Year, the number of port customs supervision trade containers has amounted to 3.7 TEU. There are also flowers and trees exported except electronics and mechanical products. “Flowers and trees from Wenjiang District could be arrived in Europe earlier by Chengdu-Europe Express Rail than through Ningbo and other eastern cities. The speed has enhanced our export advantages.” Relevant responsible officials from Chengdu Wenjiang Flowers Association indicated that Chengdu-Europe Express Rail had expanded a new market for Wenjiang flowers. There are data indicating rapidity of this rail. It only takes 11 days for Chengdu-Europe Express Rail from Chengdu to Lodz which are 9,826 km away. It is one third of sea transportation in time and one sixth of air transportation in cost. On March 25th, 2016, Chengdu-Europe Express Rail has opened a special train for TCL. Since then, there is a weekly train with semi-finished TCL color TV from Chengdu to the assembly base in Poland. The reason why TCL located in Guangdong select to export from Chengdu is the low cost and excellent services.

　　Chengdu has also formulated a gradient pricing mechanism to guarantee that giant customers could enjoy the most favorable prices. Usually, train is richer than sea transportation. But the cost of equipping TCL components through Chengdu-Europe Express Rail is lower than sea transportation. Moreover, Chengdu Customs has provided “one declaration, one check and one releasing” convenient customs clearance services for goods in Chengdu-Europe Express Rail. “Chengdu-Europe Express Rail has become a breakthrough and cutting point for Sichuan to integrate into “One Belt and One Road” by opening a continental channel linking Sichuan and Western China with Europe to conduct trade and economic exchange and technical cooperation.” Mr. Dai Bin, Director of Regional Economy and Urban Management Research Center of Southwest Jiaotong University, said.

　　It has been planned that apart from Lodz, Poland, Chengdu will also regularly run Chengdu-Moscow Express Rail in the north and Chengdu-Istanbul Express Rail in the south with the total train number expected to be over 1,000. Chengdu-Europe Express Rail will be the most stable and rapid one from China to Europe.
