On the afternoon of September 25th, on the 22nd World Route Development Forum, Chengdu Municipal People's Government and Sichuan Airport Group signed agreement contracts with 6 domestic and international airlines specifying to open another 8 regular and direct international flight routes and 1 regular direct chartered international flight route. Then, there would be 98 international and regional flight routes in Chengdu, increasing the international features of Sichuan.

　　Mr. Wang Dongming, Secretary of Sichuan Provincial Committee of the CPC, and Mr. Yin Li, Vice Secretary of Sichuan Provincial Committee of the CPC and Governor of Sichuan Provincial People's Government, and Mr. Simon Foster, CEO of UBM EMEA, the organizer of the forum, attended the contract signing ceremony. Mr. Yang Hongbo, Vice Governor of Sichuan Provincial People's Government, introduced relevant matters concerning opening new flight routes.

　　On the contact signing ceremony, Chengdu Municipal People's Government and Sichuan Airport Group signed Cooperative Agreement of Opening Regular and Direct Flight Route Between Chengdu and Sydney with Air China, signed Cooperative Agreement of Opening Regular and Direct Flight Route Between Chengdu and New York and Cooperative Agreement of Opening Regular and Direct Flight Route Between Chengdu and Los Angeles with Hainan Airlines, signed Cooperative Agreement of Opening Regular and Direct Flight Route Between Chengdu and Madrid with Capital Airlines, signed Cooperative Agreement of Opening Regular and Direct Flight Route Between Chengdu and Sochi with Tibet Airlines, signed Cooperative Agreement of Opening Regular and Direct Flight Route Between Chengdu and Addis Ababa with Ethiopia Airlines, signed Cooperative Agreement of Opening Regular and Direct Flight Route Between Chengdu and Dubai and Cooperative Agreement of Opening Regular and Direct Flight Route Between Chengdu and Moscow as well as Cooperative Momentum of Opening Direct Chartered to Direct Regular Flight Route Between Chengdu and Auckland with Sichuan Airlines.
