On January 15th, reporters have learned from Liangshan Bureau of Culture, Press, Publication, Radio, Film, and Television that Torch Festival, the national level intangible cultural heritage representative project in Liangshan, has been enlisted as national level intangible cultural heritage integrated protection trial project. Currently, the implementation planning for core regions of this trial project, namely Butuo County and Puge County, is being compiled.

　　
    Torch Festival Integrated Protection Zone covers Yi minority communities in Sichuan, Yunnan, Guizhou, and Guangxi. According to relevant officials from Liangshan Bureau of Culture, Press, Publication, Radio, Film, and Television who are formulating the protection planning, the specific core protection zones of Butuo County and Puge County are 10 districts including Temuli Town, Tuojue Town and Yedi Town and so on involving approximately 700,000 citizens.

　　
    The integrated protection of Torch Festival will highlight key inheritance protection as carriers and the key protection targets are traditional folk Torch Festival. The integrated protection measures include recording, researching, preserving, protecting, transmission, and inheritance. Protection activities will be developed based on core level, epitaxial level, and relevant level. Core level indicates the Torch Festival, epitaxial level reveals the social environment of Torch Festival and relevant level means the relevant cultural forms.

　　
    Apart from Torch Festival, other projects which are also enlisted in national level intangible cultural heritage integrated protection project include Mongolia Changdiao, Maqin Opera, Ma Street Book Fair and Zhangqiu Xinzi.
