On August 25th, Mr. Wei Hong, vice secretary of Sichuan Provincial Committee of the CPC and governor of Sichuan Provincial People’s Government, in Yibin met Mr. Mario Hardy, CEO of Pacific Asia Travel Association, and other guests who attended 2015 Sichuan International Cultural Tourism Festival.

　　Mr. Wei Hong extended his sincere welcome to the visit of domestic and foreign guests. He said that Sichuan attached much attention on tourism development, and established the strategic aims to construct Sichuan into a province with powerful tourism economy and global destination. Tourism was becoming the leading industry of Sichuan to achieve sustainable development, prosperous industry to improve people’s livelihood and the driving industry to adjust industrial structure and transferring development mode. There had been 8 sessions of Sichuan International Cultural Tourism Festival, which served as an important platform and bridge for Sichuan to strengthen cultural exchanges with the world, discuss the protection and development of tourism resources, enhance the creative integration between tourism and culture and enhance the comprehensive power of tourism. 2015 Sichuan International Cultural Tourism Festival was held in Yibin. He hoped that guests could take good use of this opportunity to explore and experience the colorful tourism culture and products, and enjoy the leisure Sichuan lifestyle. He also wished that guests could promote Sichuan tourism to the world with their own special influence.

　　Mr. Mario Hardy and other guests indicated that Sichuan was endowed with abundant tourism resources and there were many other beautiful places worth exploring apart from these well-known places of interest. They were willing to explore and find more wonderful mountain landscapes and unique humanistic feelings of Sichuan together with tourism lovers of the world. They were also very willing to discuss and cooperate with Sichuan concerning the balanced development of tourism and the planning and management of the government to tourism, and promote jointly the sustainable development of global tourism.

　　Mr. Du Jiang, vice director of China National Tourism Administration, Mrs. Huang Yanrong, vice governor of Sichuan Provincial People's Government, Mr. Luo Qiang, secretary general of Sichuan Provincial People's Government, and relevant responsible officials from provincial departments and Yibin, also attended the meeting.
