Building World Tourism Destinations Along National Highway 318/317 Sichuan Section

　　On June 24th, Planning for the Most Beautiful Sightseeing Avenue 318/317 Sichuan-Tibet World Tourism Destinations (Sichuan Section) was officially examined and appraised by relevant experts. According to this planning, 318/317 sightseeing avenue (Sichuan Section) would build 5 international tourism cities, 24 tourism oriented towns and 47 tourism specific villages. It was expected to attract 60 domestic and foreign tourists per year.

　　The evaluation committee included responsible persons from World Tourism Organization, Ganzi, Aba and other municipal governments, Sichuan Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, Culture Department of Sichuan Province, and Sichuan Provincial Bureau of Tourism and other experts. After careful examination and evaluation, the evaluation committee held the opinion that this planning had abundant basic data, in-depth research and analysis of the current situation of the planning area, reasonable and scientific resource evaluation, and close connection with the national level Sichuan-Tibet development and tourism development goals. Besides, this planning adept new planning method, and strengthened the operational orientation of this tourism planning in accordance with the methodology of gradual promotion, including designing, formatting, and planning. Experts principally agreed to pass the planning and requested the planning making unit to follow the suggestions from examination experts and relevant departments to amend and improve the planning.
