Tianfu new Area Chengdu district planning exhibition hall, international exhibition centre and Xing Longhu planning exhibition hall…on April 2, more than 40 well-known chairmen of oversea Chamber of Commerce came to Chengdu to attend the Sichuan Development Opportunity Promotion Conference and visited with great interest the Tianfu New Area Chengdu district. As they looked around, they listened to introductions. Deeply touched by what they saw, they exclaimed and could not hide their optimistic attitude for Tianfu New Area. “As the‘Belt and Road’initiative carries forward, Tianfu New Area will become a international hotspot!”the president of Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce, Huang Hanliang said.

      Wang Jian, executive vice president of Chamber of Commerce Naples, Italy, has worked in the financial industry for many years, and he believes that with the implementation of the ‘Belt and Road’initiative, a lot of foreign currency settlement business will emerge. Besides, the demand for relevant financial services will increase around various regions. “Sichuan is no exception, the demand will be great.”said Wang Jian. With it good location, wide range of radiation and a huge potential for development, Wang Jian has full confidence for the development of the financial services industry in Sichuan.

      As early as 1995, Huang Hanliang began to invest in real estate in Sichuan and he comes to Sichuan more frequently in recent years. He also participated in the Twelfth World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention and the 2014 Chinese and Foreign Well-known Enterprises Tour in Sichuan, both of which were held in Chengdu. “Every time I come to Sichuan in a hurry, and leave in a hurry, too; I have not got a chance to do some careful investigation”, he said. After the promotion conference, Cai Rongzhuang, the president of the Thai Chamber of Commerce in Beijing, was quite touched. He said the promotion would bring new investment opportunities for overseas Chinese; Thai Chamber of Commerce would actively promote it among overseas Chinese businessmen in Thailand. From his point of view, Thailand and Sichuan is not far from each other; they share similar cultural aspects, surely there are a lot of cooperation fields. “In the future, the Thai Chamber of Commerce and Sichuan companies can achieve new cooperation in new energy development, high-tech industries, tourism, e-business and other fields.”
