On April 13th, reporters learned from Chengdu Economic and Technological Development Zone that in the first quarter, the finished automobiles made in Chengdu amounted to 233,500, increasing 20,000 vehicles, up 9.4%.
    
　　Reporters noticed that when counting economic operation data of major enterprises, Chengdu Economic and Technological Development Zone used the “expanding products” most frequently in remark column. Automobile enterprises strove and achieved a good start in the first quarter, greatly increasing the confidence of achieving the target of one million finished cars in 2015.

　　FAW-Volkswagen is still the largest contributor with the finished automobiles in the first quarter amounting to 161,500, accounting for 69.16% of Chengdu Economic and Technological Development Zone. Meanwhile, as the producing accelerating of Volvo Chengdu factory, the product structure of finished cars in Chengdu is undergoing an active change, that is, the increasing of high-end cars in proportion. On March 30th, the first Pardo 2.7L made in China was completed at FAW Toyota assembly line, becoming another new attraction in high-end cars.
   
　　The products of Volvo models such as S60L, XC60 and so on are quite exceeding expectation in the first quarter. Based on market feedback, Volvo has a stable domestic market demand and a large stock for export. Therefore, Volvo Chengdu factory has to accelerate its producing pace. In accordance with current pace, the annual products of Volvo is expected to surpass 60,000.

　　Chegndu Gaoyuan Automobile Industry Co., Ltd has achieved modest gains with GX7 and GX9 as two hit models, selling 18,000. Last year, Geely Automobile achieved quite impressive results in selling its products to Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Algeria, Lebanon and so on through Chengdu-Europe Express Rail. “Influenced by external factors, the growth rate of export in the first quarter is slower. We strive to catch up the the second half of the year. The sale of 80,000 remains unchanged.” When judging the comprehensive situation of 2015, the relevant responsible person from the enterprises is quite confidential.
