Constructing an economic and trade exchange platform for “One Belt and One Road”
　　
     On March 26th, the first promotion event of Western China (Sichuan) Import Exhibition and International Investment Conference (hereafter referred to as Import Exhibition) was held in Beijing. Reporters learned from the promotion event that Import Exhibition would be held in Chengdu from October 23rd to 27th with the exhibition area of 80,000 square meters, which would be the largest professional import exhibition in Western China.

     Import Exhibition will further strengthen its investment trade function and strive to create itself into an important economic and trade exchange platform and brand exhibition developed by Western China area. This session of Import Exhibition will mainly display advanced technology equipment and major components of home and abroad, service trade, and consumer goods with outdoor exhibition area and 6 exhibition halls, including advanced equipment hall, finished automobiles and component hall, service trade hall, commercial hall for countries along “One Belt and One Road”, commercial hall for friendship cities, and consumer hall and so on. What is displayed includes international advanced technologies and equipment, international automobile manufacturing technology and telematics technology, international logistics service, advanced technologies of countries along Chengdu-Europe Express Rail, goods from all over the world, and advanced technologies of sister cities of Sichuan. During the Import Exhibition, a series of economic and trade supporting activities will be held, including a main forum with the theme of “free trade and economic globalization”, Western China (Sichuan) International Investment Cooperation and Negotiation Fair, China International Trade Facilitation Forum or Western China Import Trade Facilitation Service Forum, Trade and Economic Cooperation Matchmaking Conference of China and France Middle and Small Sized Enterprises, 2015 Western China Import Commerce Purchasing and Manufacturing Meeting, Western China Import E-Commerce Promotion Meeting, and China-Europe Investment, Trade and Technology Cooperation Negotiation and so on.

     Officials from 22 embassies to China, such as Canada, Russia, Spain and so on, foreign representatives from Delegations of German Industry and Commerce, the Korea Chamber of Commerce in China, Australia Chamber, and representatives form well-known enterprises such as Dell, KPMG, Schneider and so on, also attend the promotion event.

     16th Western China International Fair will be held in Chengdu in Autumn with the expected exhibition area of approximately 200,000 square meters at International Expo Center, Western China International Exhibition City, the heart of Tianfu New District.
