Chengdu-Sri Landa First Flight Succeeded

     At 18:30 on February 10th, CA425 departed punctually. This was the first flight from Chengdu to Colombo, capital of Sri Lanka. On the same day, Spring Airlines announced to open the first direct flight betwen Chengdu and Osaka, Japan, on March 30th. These two flights are all in the range of “One Belt and One Road”.

     Chengdu-Sri Lanka flight is performed by the newest large body Airbus A330 by Southwest Branch of Air China on every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. The departing time from Chengdu is 18:30 and landing time in Colombo is 21:50. The return flight departs in Colombo at 23:10 and arrives in Chengdu at 6:40 of the following day (All the time concerned is local). A single journey takes 5 and a half hours. Previously, visitors have to transfer via Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Singapore from Chengdu to Sri Lanka in about 10 hours.

     As for the Chengdu-Osaka flight which would opened soon, A320 will be performed on every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. The return flights will be on every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday. A single journey is about 4 hours, 3 hours fewer than indirect flight.
