Twin Baby Pandas in Japan Named as “Yingbang” and “Taobang”

     On February 9th, reporters learned from Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding that after 2 months of name selection, the twin baby pandas born at Adventure World in Shirahama, Wakayama, Japan in December 2014 were named as “Yingbang” and “Taobang” respectively.

     These two female baby giant pandas were born on December 2nd with their parents of “Yongming” and “Liangbang” sent in Japan. The name, “Yingbang”, represented cherry of Japan and meant generosity and health. “Taobang” indicated peach of China, referring to the wishes of peace and happiness.
