At 8:17 a.m. of August 28th, the successful landing of Airbus A319 of Air China carrying 99 passengers at Hongyuan Airport signifying the smooth opening of Chengdu-Hongyuan Route, the first route of Hongyuan Airport. Besides, Hongyuan Airport officially operates. By now, it takes only an hour from Chengdu to Hongyuan Plain.

　　Currently, there is one routine flight of Chengdu-Hongyuan Route, performed by plateau Airbus A319 of Southwestern Branch of Air China with the departure time at 7:10 a.m. and return stroke at 8:50 a.m. The flight journey is about an hour. Hongyuan Airport will gradually initiate direct flights to Xi'an, Chongqing, Lhasa, Beijing, big and medium sized cities in east China area and southern coastal cities. Flights to Chongqing and Lhasa wound be tried to open in 2014.
