On July 14, France Consulate General in Chengdu held National Day reception. Mr. Zhong Mian, vice governor of Sichuan Province, attended the reception and extended his sincere congratulations to staff at France Consulate General in Chengdu and all Frenchman in Chengdu.

　　In his speech, Mr. Zhong Mian mentioned that 2014 witnessed the 50th anniversary of China-France diplomatic relation. In recent years, Sichuan has kept a close tie with France. Mutual personal exchange, trade and economic cooperation maintains a good momentum of development. In June, Mr. Wang Dongming, secretary of Sichuan Provincial Committee of the CPC, director of Sichuan Provincial People’s Congress visited France with a delegation group and achieved remarkable results in strengthening Sichuan and France cooperation. He also witnessed that a large number of cooperation projects were signed, such as China-France Ecological Park. In March, Mr. Jean-Paul Bachy, president of Champagne-Ardenne Region of France, Mr. Martin Malvy, vice president of Midi-Pyrénées region, visited respectively Sichuan. Besides, Sichuan and Champagne-Ardenne Region also successfully held 2014 China (France) France Week. In October 2014, France will be the guest of honor in 15th Western China International Fair. All these exchange activities in various types and rich content will definitely enhance the cooperation between Sichuan and France to a deeper and higher level.
