Cliff Paintings of Bo People

  There are a number of rectangular mysterious caves on the cliff of Songjiang River, Luochang Township, Gao County. There also are exquisite stone carvings and paintings on the month of caves. According to experts, these are ancient cliff tombs left by Bo people living here.

  Cliff tomb, popular in Yibin and southern Sichuan, is one of the ancient burial ceremonies of ancient Bo people, who dug caves on high cliffs and buried inside coffins and remains, meaning more closer to the heaven. At present, among many townships of Gao County, Yibin, there are about 120 cliff tombs with high architectural values.
