On October 17th, Mr. Wei Hong, vice secretary of Sichuan Provincial Committee of the CPC and governor of Sichuan Provincial People’s Government, in Chengdu met Mr. Mitsuo Ohashi, vice chairman of Japan-China Economy Association, president and top adviser of Showa Denko K.K.

　　Mr. Wei Hong extended his sincere gratitude towards Mr. Mitsuo Ohashi and Japan-China Economy Association for their efforts in promoting Japan and China economic exchange and cooperation. He said that Sichuan had emphasized on the friendly exchanges with Japan in various fields, supported to strengthen economic cooperation with Japanese enterprises, and supported Japanese enterprises to open business in Sichuan. Sichuan Provincial People’s Government would like to help to solve difficulties confronted in promoting programs of Showa Denko K.K and hoped that Showa Denko K.K would enlarge their business in Sichuan, increase their funds and technology, and find new opportunities to cooperate.

　　Mr. Mitsuo Ohashi once visited Sichuan in September 2008 and he highly praised the rapid development of Sichuan. He said that they would like to promote more Japanese enterprises to strengthen comprehensive cooperation with Sichuan’s enterprises in producing highly value-added products. They were optimistic to the promising future of programs of Guangyuan and would spare no efforts to promote it.
