Nuo Culture Displayed at Jinsha Site Museum

  On January 20, “Soul of Nuo Culture -- Art Exhibition of Chinese Nor Dramas and Nuo Masks” was held in Jinsha Site Museum. There were about 400 pieces of precious relics related to Nuo culture on display. This was the largest and most comprehensive exhibition of Nuo culture in Sichuan.

  This exhibition disclosed and introduced mysterious Nuo culture to tourists through displaying “Nuo Dramas” and “Nuo Masks”. Among 400 pieces of precious relics related to Nuo culture, there were not only Nuo drama props, such as swords, magemarks, ox horns, and so on, but also many colorful Nuo drama costumes and Nuo masks. During exhibition, Mr. Chen Xiansong, an inheritor of intangible cultural heritage of local drama in Anshun, Guizhou, also performed Nuo dramas to tourists with his performing team.

  It was learned that this exhibition was co-organized by Chengdu Jinsha Site Museum, the Guizhou Cultural Palace of Nationalities and the Cultural Palace of Nationalities (Beijng), lasting until March 31.
