On Aug.1st, reporters learned from the Chengdu Foreign Affairs Office that 12 undergraduates from University of Haifa, Israel will arrive in Chengdu this week. They will study for 6 weeks in Chengdu University, marking the beginning of substantial education cooperation between Chengdu University and University of Haifa.

    Chengdu and Haifa are sister cities. This is the first program since the signing of an interschool cooperation agreement between Chengdu University and University of Haifa on Apr. 28 this year. 12 undergraduates from University of Haifa will study Chinese language and culture, get to know Chinese history and tradition and experience Sichuan’s folk custom in Chengdu. According to the agreement, students that complete the study program will gain corresponding credits of University of Haifa.
